June 9, 2017

Did you know….

that we’re back in action! The Treasure Coast Chapter is up and running, planning events and local campaigns, and we need you! Here are just a few volunteer opportunities that we have available. Drop us a line to learn more: chair@treasurecoast.surfrider.org

Executive Committee Members:

Serve as part of the elected leadership of the Chapter! All candidates for the Executive Committee must be members in good standing- that means being current on your Surfrider Foundation dues and attending at least three meetings or chapter events within the last year. If you’re interested, join us at our next event to learn more!

Ocean Friendly Restaurant Committee Members:

Our Ocean Friendly Restaurant Program works hand in hand with local restaurants to reduce single-use plastics. We need committee members to help sign-on local restaurants and grow the program in the Emerald Coast area. More here!

Ocean Friendly Garden Committee Members:
Did you know that water runoff is the #1 source of ocean pollution in urban areas? Our Ocean Friendly Gardens Program is Surfrider Foundation’s volunteer-run landscape education, hands-on training and advocacy program. We need committee members who are interested in getting their hands dirty to help create some local Ocean Friendly Gardens. Learn more!

Event Organizers
We have a few events over the next several months that we need help organizing. This a great opportunity to help organize fun opportunities to reach new people and spread the good word on beach access, clean water, and protecting our beaches!
